Be honest, saying "Mod" won't work for me. Think about it, are you classic glam with a free-lance twist? Have you got a edgy style that always incorporates a little vintage rock into everything?
I would say, I'm undefinable in many ways. But, I'm definately a night life styled girl, fun, not too flirty with my colour choices. I love sparkle and shine, I'm modern, not too bohemian, I'm a trendsetter. Definately a risky one, dark colours are hot, when I'm wearing red, you know I'm feeling bold, my mood shows up in the colours I'm wearing, the bolder I'm feeling the bolder or fierier the colours.
My style took up an entire paragraph. So What's your style?
Most stores aren't defined for my personal style, they don't say on the front "come here if you are ____your style here____"
So how do I personalize my style choices, how are we, a generation of individuals supposed to be wild without it being set before us?
I call it diamond and coal shopping. Have you ever seen Aladin? The little cave guy says that he was a diamond in the rough. Something special and unique out of somethings boring and the same. That's what it is, you can find good clothes anywhere, I look at the sales rack, that's usually what no-one's buying. That can be cuz it's ugly, but it can also be just cuz it's different and unique. I found a knee length bohemian brown skirt for 6 dollars at the back of the store. It was incredible.
So, really, do what I do, diamon in the rough. Look for something special.

A dress without a soul

Dresses are a pretty simple trend when you think about it. There aren't many different ways to wear the common dress. Accessories are ofcourse your only unmanditory option! As I think about this, my mind goes back to around 2004. Ok, so it's not that long ago, but do you remember the long sparkling gowns sported by Britney Spears and Madonna? Now those, those wre unchangeable, if you buy that, thats what your buying, you can't belt that, add leggings, or sparkle up those.
So, what to do to dresses that just wont co-exist with your own personal style? Embellish!

Here's a quick story, Jenna was in 9th grade, not a grade that will praticularily allow personal fashion fixes, due to the small size of the school. She, unlike many other girls was one for personalizing clothes. At that time dress over jeans was "in" so she managed to pair a pair of distressed denim jeans with a black mini dress. Bo-ring. Adding some intricate detail on the waistline, she managed to turn almost every head, and got 15 compliments. Abso-figgin-loutely a true story.

So, is detail a crative way of personalizing your frock? Well, why don't you try it out yourself, you might get a couple turned heads.
